1.         General.  There will be year-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world as communities come together to celebrate The Queen’s historic reign.  On Sunday 6th February 2022 this year Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.  To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place throughout the year, culminating in a four-day UK bank holiday weekend from the 2-5 June 2022. 

2.         The Military Provost Staff Regiment (MPS Regt) will host our own celebrations to mark this prestigious event, which will be held on Thursday 2nd June 2022 from 1300 hours until 1700 hours.  It is anticipated that this Jubilee Celebration will be well supported by both Serving members, retired association members and their close families to commemorate this special and unique occasion.

3.         Aim.  To celebrate The Queen’s 70 years of service.  This event will allow generations from past and present to enhance existing relations; additionally, it will provide a platform to include all those with a strong connection to the establishment to come together in a relaxed environment.  The bank holiday celebration will provide an opportunity to celebrate this historic milestone.   

4.         Dress.  The dress code for the event is relaxed summer attire with collar.  Suitable footwear is required due to the event predominately taking place on the surrounding grounds of the WOs’ & Sgts’ Mess grassed area.  Participants should consider inclement weather conditions.

5.       Parking/Transport.  Cars will be parked in pre-designated areas. Temporary passes will be issued by the MGS to all non-permanent car pass holders.
